The Cambridgeshire Cats will host two pre-season training sessions at Coldhams Common on the 14th and 21st of November so new players can come and try the sport, and get a feel for one of the country’s most successful sides.

Last season, the Cats stormed to a 9-1 record and made it to the Division 1 semi-finals, where they were knocked out one stop short of the finals at Sixways Stadium by eventual champions Tamworth Phoenix.

The Cats have been semi-finalists for the last three seasons running. They are a young team, a family, and much of their success in recent years can be attributed to fantastic showings from first-year players.

As ever, the 2010 rookie class played a large part in the team’s success, with standout performances from Mark Finbow, Casey Burgess and Rookie-of-the-Year Craig Asling punctuating the season.

Now the team is once again calling out to new players to come and be a part of the Cats Pride in 2011 and help make the push to the finals.

The training sessions on Sunday the 14th and 21st of November will also be open to returning players and the Cats youth team, so strong foundations can be set across the board for the upcoming campaign, and anyone aged 16+ is welcome.

Both days will start at 12pm and last until 3pm. No experience is required, and players will need no more than a pair of football boots. So come and give this fantastic sport a try!
