Patriots WR Welker Says Neck Will Be Ok

Late in the first half of the Patriots preseason game against the Lions, Tom Brady threw an interception, Wes Welker made the tackle on the Lions defender but left the game with a neck injury.
When walking out of the locker room, Welker told Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald, “I’m OK.”
“He’s a tough guy,” QB Tom Brady said. “There’s nobody tougher than Wes Welker. He’s mentally, physically, he’s as good as there is. He’s a huge part of our offense.”
